Terms of Use

Last updated September 15, 2026

By creating an account or using CurbPin, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

CurbPin is a real-time, community-verified curbside discovery network. See something free on the curb? Pin it. Someone nearby can grab it before it disappears. Listings are user-generated. We do not inspect items, guarantee an item is free or safe, or arrange pickup. You take items at your own risk. CurbPin helps useful items stay in use longer, reduces avoidable waste, conserves the resources already invested in them, and connects free goods with nearby people who can use them.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and able to form a contract. The app is intended for use in the United States.

Your account

You are responsible for your login and for what you post. You may delete your account in Profile or at /delete-account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the community guidelines.

What you may post

Only photograph items that appear left out for anyone to take. You must have the right to share the photo. Do not post anything illegal, sexual, that depicts minors, that includes private documents or license plates in a readable way, or that is meant to harass someone.

License

You keep ownership of your photos and text. You grant us a license to host and display them in the app so other users can find the pin. That license ends when the pin or your account is deleted, except for copies already shown on others’ devices and our short-term backups.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is.” Pins can be wrong, stale, or unsafe to pick up. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost items, injuries, or disputes between neighbors.
